
Carolyn Meacher is an experienced marketer and strategist with track record for leading change. Her career encompasses the best of many worlds – from an analytical foundation at A.C.Neilsen to the creative Agency world (including Ogilvy & Mather, TBWA/Chiat Day and BBDO) to the business world as a senior leader at Rogers Wireless Communications, Key Media Interactive and T. Eaton Company. She brings all of this experience and insight to the world of training and coaching as an ICF certified leadership coach, trainer and facilitator.Carolyn has been working with DesignWorks since 2007 focusing on our North American Enterprise transformation activity.
Job Rutgers is a co-faculty partner specializing in experience design and a Business Design Associate at Rotman DesignWorks. He is a lecturer and instructor in the MBA and Executive programs at Rotman, and a Professor in Interaction Design at the Ontario College of Art & Design. Prior to moving to Canada, he spent 10 years at Philips Design and developed the award-winning Ambient Experience Design Service. Job brings design discipline and a keen design sense to the practice of Business Design.
Mark Leung is the Associate Director of DesignWorks and is responsible for managing the operations and contributes to research and development of the discipline. As an early partner to the program (2006), Mark has played an important role in leading many major projects, developing and refining methodologies, and helping codify the application of Business Design to education and industry. Mark holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management (focus: innovation and strategy), a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Waterloo (focus: process design and control) and has worked for such companies as ABB, Corning, Medtronic, P&G and Toyota.
Eugene Grichko is a Business Design Associate who has been with DesignWorks for five years. He has played a valuable role in many projects for clients such as P&G, Princess Margaret Hospital and Cervélo. Eugene has helped to shape the Rotman DesignWorks brand and currently leads the MBA extracurricular initiatives such as design boot camps, after-school workshop training programs. He is an Industrial Design graduate from the Ontario College of Art and Design and has worked at Nova Product Development. Eugene brings a profound sense of empathy, deep user insight, visual communication and product design to the practice of Business Design.
Alpesh Mistry is a Business Design Associate who joined DesignWorks in 2007. He has played a lead role in the development and delivery of educational programs for the MBA Design Practicum and Singapore Certification Program. He has completed projects for clients such as P&G, Medtronic and Pfizer. Prior to joining DesignWorks, Alpesh graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design and interned at Obus Forme Inc. As an inventive and exploratory thinker, he has the unique skill of pulling ideas apart and putting them back together in new and interesting ways.
Grace Park is a Business Design Associate who has been with DesignWorks for over three years. Grace plays a key role in the design and implementation of workshops at DesignWorks for clients such as Nestlé, GE and Frito Lay. She has applied her design skills to a wide range of projects from consumer packaged goods challenges to technology solutions to non-profit youth programs in Canada and Singapore. She is an Industrial Design graduate from the Ontario College of Art and Design, and is also educated in Actuarial Science and Culinary Arts. This unique background provides Grace with both creative and analytical thinking abilities.
Stewart Shum is a Business Design Associate who has been with DesignWorks for over two years. Stewart brings over 20 years of industry experience in User Experience Design, and Human Computer Interaction Design. He is a Certified Management Accountant with a background in Finance and Technology, and has led many Business Design initiatives in small to large organizations. Stewart is a recent Industrial Design graduate from the Ontario College of Art and Design. Stewart brings a disciplined eye, as well as strategic and pragmatic thinking to Business Design.
Stefanie Schram is a Business Design Associate who has been passionate about the practice since she started her MBA at Rotman in 2008. She leads the marketing and communications and is key member of the Enterprise Training and Development team for clients such as GE, Frito Lay and BMO. Stefanie holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management and a Liberal Arts degree from York University. Prior to DesignWorks, she worked in brand management on national, market-leading brands and is a team recipient of 2007 and 2008 CASSIES awards. With her background as an award-winning dancer and choreographer, Stefanie brings a sense of rigor, refinement and a fresh perspective to the practice of Business Design.
