Business Design Practicum

The Business Design Practicum gives students an opportunity to practice the
'3 Gears' and create breakthrough solutions with meaningful commercial and social outcomes.

Program Details
The Practicum is a Rotman course offered to MBA students as an elective in their second year.

The student teams are usually comprised of 6 students per group. Each team is multi-disciplinary, incorporating many skill sets including Business, Engineering, Liberal Arts, Science, and Industrial Design. Each member brings a different and valuable contribution to success.

The project or problem requires deep understanding of human factors and calls for new and 'game changing' solutions. It also provides sponsors with access to fresh thinking and new talent. The intent of the program is to complete the innovation cycle from deep user understanding of insights and needs through to innovation prototypes and strategic business design.
